A brief history of the Vitesse model - 1936 to 1938

Vitesse 14/60 - 1936 to 1938, 13.95 h.p. 1,767cc 4-cylinder, twin S.U. carburettor, overhead valve engine with 4-speed synchromesh gearbox.
The Vitesse was the first to use Triumph's all new overhead valve engine. Vitesses look very similar to Gloria Vitesses, but the Vitesses can be identified by their front wings that extend down to the level of the front bumper. We estimate that just over 2,000 4-cylinder Vitesses were produced and the models offered were:

Vitesse 2-Litre - 1936 to 1938, 15.72 h.p. 1,991cc 6-cylinder, twin S.U. carburettor, overhead valve engine with 4-speed synchromesh gearbox.
The Vitesse was the first to use Triumph’s new overhead valve engine based on the some aspects of the old 6-cylinder Coventry Climax designed engine. We estimate that just over 350 6-cylinder Vitesses were produced and the models offered were:
